“It’s impossible to keep a secret … especially one as wonderful as this,” the Travoltas wrote on their web site. “We are expecting a new addition to our family.”

Star magazine is reporting that Kelly Preston, 47, and John Travolta are expecting a baby.

"Kelly is about three months pregnant," a source tells the magazine. "Both she and John are absolutely over the moon -- they knew in their hearts that the time was right for this to happen."

If true, this is some happy news for John and Kelly during a difficult time. Their two dogs were killed in a freak car accident last week at a Maine airport. They lost their son Jett at the age of 16 last year and have a daughter, Ella, age 10.

John told People in 2007 that they were trying for another child.

Last year, while the family was on holiday in the Bahamas, Travolta’s 16-year-old son Jett died from a seizure disorder. They have a daughter Ella who is now 10. According to worldbuzznow, sources have shared that Kelly is three months pregnant.

Since his son’s death, Travolta has only made rare public appearances – although he flew his private jet to Haiti after January’s earthquake to help the relief effort. Travolta’s most recent film was thriller From Paris with Love. It hit UK cinemas in February.

In September, two people are due to stand trial accused of blackmailing Travolta over circumstances of his son’s death. That case originally went to trial last year. However, because of jury misconduct, the judge declared a mistrial. Evidence has already been given by Travolta on how he tried to save his son’s life.
