Looks like a lot of oil. But while watching this, keep in mind that there is virtually no chance that the oil gushing out of this well is anywhere close to the 50,000 barrels per day that the alarmists are saying. Even the very best wells in the Gulf of Mexico, operating under ideal conditions (that is, gushing freely into low pressure rather than pushing out against the high pressure on the seafloor) barely do 25,000 bpd. This may be an excellent reservoir, but it is unlikely to be the best in the gulf.
