This season started in controversy after one team was withdrawn from the production prior to the show airing, resulting in drastic editing by producers.

The Biggest Loser is a television show broadcast in many countries. It centers on overweight contestants attempting to lose weight to fight for a cash prize. There are different variations of the Biggest Loser around the world. Each country has made its own adaptation to the show; however, the contestants always have the same goal: to lose the highest percentage of weight (or most weight) to become the Biggest Loser.

This year on the ranch we saw some of the biggest contestants to ever participate in the weight loss challenge. Their were parents and kids, cousins, husband and wife teams all trying to drop the pounds. They learned proper eating habits along with exercises needed to reduce and maintain their weight. Tuesday night saw the culmination of all of their hard work and it was revealed who won the Biggest Loser 2010.

Lisa Hose has won The Biggest Loser 2010.

She lost 56.2kgs, 46.10% of her body weight beating Joe who lost 82.7kgs, 45.97% of his body weight.

41yo Lisa from Perth won $370,000 for her efforts and the title of the first ever female Biggest Loser. As the bearer of the special “Double” bracelet, she takes home twice the cash kitty set at $185,000.

Joining them in the final four were Shannon and Wayne.

Final weigh-ins were:

Lisa lost 56.2kg (46.10%).
Joe lost 82.7kgs (45.97%)
Shannon lost 89.6kg (41.81%).
Wayne lost 62.8kg (38.89%).
