Melissa Ann Andreini, 28, resigned from her position as a special education teacher at Helper Junior High School in Helper, Utah, after being investigated for her alleged sexual involvement with a 15-year-old male student.

According to investigators, the boy, who was a student at the school but not Andreini's student, told police she paid him $1400 to $1500 after having sex with her in her home not far from the school.

A probable cause statement, filed in the 7th District Court, Utah alleges that on July 3, 2009, the boy's mother confronted Andreini and she admitted to having sex and paying her son afterward.

On August 17, 2009, Andreini was charged with three counts of 3rd-degree felony unlawful sexual activity with a minor. She was released after posting a $10,000 bond.
