On February 10, 2010, Susan Christina Alderson, 46, formerly a sixth-grade teacher at Robert Frost Elementary School in Silverton, Oregon pleaded guilty to the sexual abuse of a boy for four years, between 2002 and 2006, beginning when he was 13.

Alderson pled guilty to two counts of first-degree rape, two counts of first-degree sodomy, two counts of second-degree sexual abuse and two misdemeanor counts of third-degree sexual abuse.

Susan Alderson received consecutive sentences totaling 40 years in prison.
