Former Florida teacher's aide, 36-year-old Tammy Huggins was pleaded guilty to having sex multiple times with a 15-year-old boy and in a separate incident, with a 16-year-old boy. She was charged with sexual offenses with a victim between the ages of 12 and 15, and sexual battery on a victim age 16 or 17.

Huggins was sentenced to three years in prison and 12 years of sex offender probation when released. Circuit Judge Ric Howard did not sentence her to the maximum punishment, reportedly because he felt the boys were somewhat willing participants and because Huggins cooperated with the investigation.



Huggins is divorced and had her 6-year-old daughter living with her at the time of her arrest. She worked as a teacher's aide and job coach since 2000 and personnel records show she received the highest ranking on her job performance while employed.

After her arrest she cooperated with police and admitted to having sex with the 15-year-old student beginning in December 2004 through January 2005. The crime took place at Huggins' home and in secluded locations while parked in her car.

Huggins volunteered additional information about her sexual relationship with the 16-year-old student in April 2004 while at a home belonging to the boys friend.

Huggins worked as a laundry aide at a rehabilitation center and at McDonalds before becoming a teacher's aide.
