As a stand up comedian, Iliza is funny. Her jokes are good and she entertains her audience well. She had both talent and experience, both of which has earned her success. On “The Howard Stern Show”, however, she mentioned that she faced noticeable resentment from the other finalists of “Last Comic Standing” competition. She had been on tour where they did not talk to her much and seemed to be displeased with her victory which incluided an award of $250,000.

When asked whether people fell in love with her backstage, Iliza replied in negative and added that she doesn’t have a boyfriend. Prompted, Stern wanted to know if she liked women. She answered that she is even against hugging her girlfriends thus ruling out the notion hinted by Stern.

Shlesinger is one of the finest up-and-coming comedians around in the U.S. right now, which is how she came to win Last Comic Standing, the equivalent of American Idol for comedians.

When she won, she became not only the first female to do so but also the youngest, which has caused some jealousy amongst her fellow contestants. They are all currently on tour together and she told Howard Stern that the guys with her refuse to talk to her because she had the audacity to beat them.

Making a sweeping stereotype here but I generally find men make funnier stand-ups. In the UK at least there is a dearth of funny females on the circuit. At least America has Sarah Silverman and now Iliza Shlesinger.

Howard asked Iliza if she felt like a shithead being on the show doing the stuff they had her doing. She didn't feel that way about it at all. Iliza said that she gets to go out on tour with the other four guys she beat and they may hate her. She said that they didn't really talk to her on the road when they were out on tour and that's worse than them bad mouthing her. Iliza said that they went through whole days when no one would talk to her at all. [...]

Howard asked Iliza about doing the Last Comic Standing thing. She said that she won $250,000 and the comedians hated her when she went out on the road. She said that she did get to see the country though and that was great. Howard said he can't imagine going out on the road for 6 months like that. Iliza said that she would go back to her hotel room and cry into a big pile of money. [...]

Howard asked Iliza about working for a strip club. She said that she was unable to find a job so she ended up working for about 3 days checking people's coats and never got paid for it. She said that she learned how strippers can make their ass cheeks clap though. She said that she never did any stripping. She said that she had to get out of there and pack for college a few weeks later.

Howard asked Iliza about why she hates the term ''doggy style.'' She said that it's better to call it horsie style or something because it's not just dogs that do it. She said that all animals do it that way and humans are the only ones who are looking at each other in the face.

Iliza said that it's weird when guys have mirrors up and you have to see yourself in the mirror having sex. She said that no matter what your tits are going to look like udders when you're in that position.

Artie asked Iliza if she likes reality TV. She said she does and asked Howard what he likes. Howard told her about some of the reality shows he watches like American Idol, Celebrity Rehab and Sober House. Iliza said that she loves ''Rock of Love.'' She said she likes to see people at rock bottom. She said that she loves the Real Housewives show too.
