And according to gizmopassion.com, the Atlantis Space Shuttle did exactly that and finally touched down at the Kennedy Space Center, at 9:44 am on Friday morning. Reports say the weather was nice and chilly as Atlantis touched Earth.
Reports say that NASA’s next shuttle flight Endeavour, is scheduled to deliver more supplies to the space station. At the same time, astronaut Nicole Stott, who returned home today, will be back staying aboard the station for 3 months.

Shuttle landing – After spending an extra day in orbit, the seven astronauts aboard the space shuttle Discovery prepared for a Tuesday morning landing at Kennedy Space Center in Florida. NASA officials have been closely monitoring weather conditions and passed on the first of two landing opportunities. Later they gave the go-ahead for a landing at 9:08 a.m. ET Tuesday.
Bad weather prompted mission managers to scrap two landing opportunities at Kennedy on Monday.
