Elvis Duran is a radio personality who hosts the Elvis Duran and the Morning Show in New York on Z100 and in syndication on Premiere Radio Networks. Duran's show is now heard live in over 30 markets including New York, Philadelphia, Miami, Cleveland, Tampa and Atlanta.

Before his current job at Z-100, Duran's previous radio jobs included a stint as an on-air personality at WIOQ in Philadelphia. He served as WIOQ's program director from May 1989 until just before he was fired in February 1990.In October 1991, Duran became both the program director and morning show host of KBTS (now KGSR) in Austin, Texas.

Prior to working at Z100, Duran also worked evenings at Z-93 with sidekick "Hot Henrietta" in Atlanta, and in Houston. He began his run at Z100 hosting the afternoon slot until April 1996, Tom Poleman, the newly appointed program director, moved Duran to the morning slot, where he has been ever since.

He debuted this morning at 6 a.m.. Early observations: the show is very high energy, and there are a lot of different voices to differentiate. He told me there are four core people (he, Carolina Bermudez, Danielle Monaro, John T. Bell) but he also had at least three others on the air that hour: Greg T, Skeery Jones and Froggy. Carolina has a higher voice than Danielle so it’s not too difficult to discern who is who among the women. But the guys? Clearly, Elvis dominates but it’s hard to figure out at first who is who otherwise, though Elvis does go out of his way to identify the secondary players before they speak.
