Oklahoma Tornado 2010 Hits

Oklahoma Tornado outbreak 2010 were part of a violent weather system that also spawned twisters in Kansas and that forecasters had been predicting since last week.
As of May 10, there have been 362 tornadoes reported in the US in 2010 (of which at least 187 were confirmed), with 20 confirmed fatalities. Elsewhere in the world, four people were killed in tornadoes, three in the Bahamas and one in Bangladesh. The year has been well-below average for tornadoes thus far, even after a huge upswing from two major outbreaks in late April.

Officials said there are five people have been killed in Oklahoma tornado outbreak 2010 that ripped through the Southern Plains on Monday. Jerry Lojka from Oklahoma Department of Emergency Management spokesman said three people were killed in Cleveland County and two were killed in Oklahoma City.

Oklahoma City officials said the fatalities there involved a young boy who was hit by debris in his home and a man whose recreational vehicle flipped over on top of him.

Details on the Cleveland County deaths weren’t immediately available.

Totally, officials reported that at least 58 others suffered injuries throughout Oklahoma in the daylong onslaught. Two of the injuries were critical.
