Private Practice, starring Kate Walsh, Tim Daly and Taye Diggs, is a spin-off of the medical drama Grey's Anatomy. Addison Montgomery (Kate Walsh), joined a Los Angeles holistic medical practice.
Unfortunately, safe is not something we'd call Violet (Amy Brenneman) - and the fact that she was the background of creator Shonda Rhimes' Twitter a few days ago doesn't bode well for her (she changed it to Walsh a few hours ago as we write this). A tribute, mabye?

Tweeting on set on filming the finale, Rhimes added: "Violet's return shakes you."

The casualty, however, is reportedly a fan favorite, which sort of rules out Violet (and Naomi, for that matter). With that development, it can very well be Dell (Chris Lowell), who is very popular and sadly largely MIA this season owing to the cut back in his episode order.

The next day, Rhimes dropped more hints, although possibly not related to the death: "You've watched her get really beat up all season," she says of Addie "I wanted to sort of see her have a chance at really being happy...to finally sort of get the guy and find some peace."

"Get the guy and find some peace?" Now Pete (Tim Daly) and Sam (Taye Diggs) are also candidates.
