The issue tagged along with the Youtube video that has gone viral was that underage girls are dressed too sexy and are dancing inappropriately. In the video, the girls danced with skimpy tops, hot pants, and thigh high stockings that got so many parents raise their eyebrows upon seeing the video. Many viewers in Youtube have already set up a debate with regards to the video in question. So was the video really offensive in some sorts?

While the video, and the girls' parents, have been harshly criticized by almost everyone who has seen the video, two of the parents spoke with Inside Edition to defend themselves.

"People have made comments about how the music video is inappropriate...Our girls haven't seen the Beyonce music video. What they have seen is the Chipettes do it in the Alvin and the Chipmunks movie," one girl's mother said.

"[These girls] are 8 and 9 years old and they have a passion and they work very hard to improve their technique...and they're completely supported by their families, their friends," she adds. "It's a very family-oriented activity...and their accomplishments are being overshadowed by people who are taking this out of context, looking at a costume that is worn on a competition stage for two minutes when the girl is competing as if those girls were walking around, going to school in those costumes."

CNN's Anderson Cooper called the sexy number "wildly inappropriate," while Dr Phil McGraw called the costumes and the dance moves "sexually provocative."

The father of one of the girls defended the controversial performance on Good Morning America, saying the dance was "completely normal" and taken "out of context" by critics.
