Emili Kay Daniels, 34, was a biology teacher at American Heritage Academy in Cottonwood, Arizona, when she was arrested and charged with three counts of sexual conduct.

According to the Yavapai County Sheriff's Office, on March 5, 2009, the school's principal unlocked the door of a classroom and found Daniels and the 17-year-old male student inside. The student was standing with his pants undone.

During an interview with police, the student said that he and Daniels had been involved sexually since November, 2008.

Daniels was fired from her teaching position.
