On March 24, 2010, Jodi Lynn Barrus, 33, was a high school teacher at Belmond-Klemme High School in Belmondm, Iowa, when she was charged with sexual exploitation by a school employee. According to Wright County Sheriff Paul Schultz, Barrus has been accused of having an inappropriate relationship with a male student.

Barrus was a girls’ softball and volleyball coach, and a social studies and health teacher at the high school. The alleged victim is 18 years old.
