Brittni Nicole Colleps, A Kennedale High School 27-year-old teacher, arrested in Arlington on Monday morning after allegations were made that she’d had inappropriate relationships with five students.

She is accused of having sexual intercourse during April and May of this year with the students at her Arlington home, While all of the students involved were 18 or older, she is charged with five counts of inappropriate relationship between a student and teacher. As it is against state law for teachers to have a sexual relationship with students.

Parents said that the five students bragged about having sex with Colleps.

According to police, “During the investigation they discovered that… there was an exchange of text messages between at least one student and the teacher that included sexually explicit photos,” explained Arlington Police Department spokeswoman Tiara Richard. “And also the student described being involved in a sexual relationship with the teacher.”

Students described to police in detail having been in Colleps home and having had sexual intercourse with her there last week.

“Our understanding at this point is at least one of the encounters involved all five boys in the same time period, but there were other times when it was one student with the teacher,” said Richard.

Colleps, who is now on administrative leave, was a first-year English teacher and freshman girls basketball coach.

The charge of inappropriate relationship between a student and teacher is a felony.

Colleps was released from the Arlington City Jail on Monday afternoon, after posting a $125,000 bond.

Arlington Police is still investigating to determine if more students may have been involved.
