According to El Gordo y La Flaca, Luis MIguel was hospitalized and remained there for a few days last week in Los Angeles.

In fact, it’s a possibility that he could still have not been released.

The news, which has not yet been officially confirmed or denied, was broken Monday on the program “Escandalo TV.”

Although no details were provided in the broadcast about Luis Miguel’s supposed hospital admission, the program said it had received the news from reliable sources.

Later on Monday, however, the program “El Gordo y la Flaca” on Univision – the sister network to Telefutura – reported that the performer, who will turn 40 on April 19, was admitted last week to Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles.

“The artist was hospitalized for several days and his brother (Alejandro Basteri) was with him,” the host of the latter program, Raul de Molina, said, adding that it was not known if Luis Miguel had been released from the medical center or was still there.

His reps have managed to keep the news under wraps and have not released any information about the singer.

But according to new reports, a very inside source close to Luis is stepping forward to reveal the details. And according to the insider, Luis is in critical condition!

The insider reveals Luis was actually getting some cosmetic work done before his birthday and that's when everything went wrong.



No statement from Muguel’s camp nor by his label. The hospital is not confirming that Miguel is a patient due to privacy concerns, nor was a patient.
The reports here and here said that Migue; suffered days ago bacterial infection following the procedure.

Apparently while getting some routine lipo work around his abdomen and some work on his face, the singer ended up getting a bacterial infection through his blood which has spread to his organs and even his lungs. The worst part is doctors have yet to find the right antibiotic to help cure him. And while many people have tried to visit him, only a few have been allowed to see him and those include people like his manager. The inside source, who's also a friend, is asking for everyone's support and prayers during this difficult time.
