Jessica Bailey Wishnask, 27, was a seventh-grade language arts teacher in Pitt County, NC, prior to being arrested on May 23, 2009, after police caught her having intimate contact with a 15-year-old boy at 3:49 a.m. She was charged at that time with taking indecent liberties with a minor in New Hanover.

On June 4, 2009, she was arrested in Martin County for having contact with the boy again. She faces additional charges of felony statutory rape with a victim more than six years younger and misdemeanor dissemination of harmful material.


Wishnask resigned from her teaching position after being arrested. It is unknown if boy was one of her students.
